Ang Pangungusap ay kalipunan ng mga salitang nagsasaad ng isang buong diwa. Ito ay may patapos na himig sa dulo na nagsasaad ng diwa o kaisipang nais niyang ipaabot.

Ito ay may apat na uri: Paturol o Pasalaysay, Patanong, Pautos at Padamdam.

PASALAYSAY

Ito ay nagsasalaysay ng katotohanan o pangyayari. lagi itong nagtatapos sa tuldok.

PATANONG

Ito ay pangungusap na nagtatanong ng isang bagay o mga bagay. Nagtatapos ito sa tandang pananong.

PAUTOS

Ang pangungusap na pautos ay nagpapahayag ng pag-uuto o nakikiusap. Ito'y gumagamit ng tuldok sa hulihan.

PADAMDAM

Ito ang pangungusap na nagsasaad ng matinding damdamin. Nagtatapos ito sa tandang padamdam.
