After completing the 1st and 2nd grade levels, learners in the 3rd grade become more independent and confident when it comes to reading. They are expected to possess the necessary skills in beginning reading and are now ready to strive on other forms of reading materials. Pupils in this grade level can now start educational conversations about the materials they read and answer questions for comprehension check.

You can introduce long reading materials to let them master their reading skills and extend their reading hours that will eventually be useful when they enter the intermediate level. They may read other types of educational books and fictional reading stories to enhance their imagination and boost their reading fluency.

Learners in the 3rd grade may also begin to re-read certain reading materials to better understand the meanings behind them. They will encounter various reading materials with literal and non-literal definition which will complement in improving their critical thinking skills.

These materials are only supplementary and are intended to help our children/learners to have some useful educational materials and for their parents to motivate them to study even in the comfort of their homes. For teachers, this will help you in your teaching preparation and execution.
