Students in the 5th Grade are now becoming even more independent when it comes to reading. Their reading fluency and comprehension level will be of constant use when reading more challenging materials. These learners are now ready for decoding the meaning of written texts and answer questions more confidently.

In giving them new sets of reading materials that are challenging, they will acquire new words and with the foundation of phonics, they are expected to read more accurately. The use of context clues in understanding reading materials shall also be practiced which will deepen their comprehension and critical thinking skills.

5th graders will also develop other learning traits and characteristics at this level. They will begin to express even more emotions in reading a certain material that requires a portrayal of characters. Moreover, making sure that they are being assisted is still the key in acquiring life-long learnings and in imposing proper discipline that will work across subject areas.

These materials are only supplementary and are intended to help our children/learners to have some useful educational materials and for their parents to motivate them to study even in the comfort of their homes.
