Now that the country is facing one of its greatest crises in history, the educational sector is still pushing for education to continue amid these trying times. Many have enrolled and many are still expected to enroll late and are welcome until the last week of September. But the big question is, can we really make it through in this set up where face-to-face classes are still prohibited?
All schools in the country are now under their preparation for the opening of classes for this school year. Part of it is the capability training among the teachers so they would be ready for this new normal in education. Families or households are also in the process of preparing for this new set-up.
As most of the schools in the country chose to use modular distance learning as their modality for the teacher-learning process based on the results from the LESFs, they are now collecting useful learning materials that they can give to their learners while studying at home. The most basic materials they prepare are reading materials, especially for those learners at the primary level. Parents should be able to devote their time and effort in assisting their children in reading at home.
Please take note that these worksheets are only supplemental to the official materials your learners are going to use for this school year. You can modify this or add more worksheets to make it even more effective. It is our mission to help you, our fellow teachers, in the preparation phase so that you can be focused on the teaching and learning process itself.
