Encouraging our learners to read on a daily basis is one of the best ways to develop good reading skills. Repetition is proven to help learners, especially the young ones, to master a certain skill without the need of thorough assistance. They will be able to familiarize themselves with different words and even learn new ones. It also develops the concentration skills of the learners by focusing on the materials they are going through. But most importantly, it will teach them the value of reading which will be their best weapon in moving unto the next grade level.
In view of this, they should be exposed to various reading materials that would enhance their reading and comprehension skills. To older ones, you can give long and complex reading materials. But for the young ones, it is always safe to give them the simple ones first to not ruin their early desire to read.
